littlewis.JPG (9739 bytes)The Village of Coloma is a rural community that is central to a large area of irrigated farmland. The village has adequate retail businesses that provide goods and services to local residents. Extensive retail is located 35 miles to the north in Stevens Point and 35 miles south in Portage. Coloma has a fine K-6 elementary school connected with a new Pioneer Westfield High School in Westfield, eleven miles south. A new library-community center was constructed in 1997.

Businesses seeking to located in Coloma has access to a broad labor market. A new 35-acre business park was established in 1997. The business park is within a TIF District. Currently there are 24.6 acres available for development.

The Wisconsin Operating Engineers Training Center is located two miles east of Coloma.

Coloma has a well kept recreational park with a shelter house, ball diamonds, tennis courts and playground equipment. Nearby lakes and streams are available for many water sports.

        The Village of Coloma is located in the southwestern portion of Waushara County at the intersection of State Highway 21 and I-39/U.S. 51. The village is about 65 miles north of Madison, 65 miles south of Wausau, 3 hours southeast of Minneapolis/St. Paul, and 3 hours north and west of Chicago. The city of Milwaukee is 2 hours south and east of Coloma.
        Major highways provide excellent access to markets for truck transportation.
