Coloma Volunteer Fire-Rescue-EMS

The Coloma Fire-Rescue-EMS Department consists of 33 members. The Department is an Insurance Services Organization class "7" Fire Department.

We operate three engines, three tankers, two wildfire units and two rescue squads out of a new fire station, which was constructed in 2002. The fire station is located at 383 Industrial Drive. The department chief is John Kemnitz and president is Terry Maas.

In addition to firefighting, members are trained in hazardous materials, specialized rescue and extrication. We have 12 Emergency Medical Technicians and First Responders that respond with the Rescue Squad as a first in medical unit. All emergency medical transport in Waushara County is handled by Waushara County EMS. A paramedic is only 15 minutes away 24 hours a day.

All members of the Department are well trained and very motivated to serve the community. We receive ongoing training every month at our training meetings, as well as schools that are attended on the members own time.
